AutoSD Steel Detailing

The Base package is the starting point and foundation of the AutoSD Steel Detailing system. It is needed to run all other packages. The Base package contains over 300 programs to make any detailing job go easier and faster. From setting the sheet to size and scale to detailing anchor bolts, embed angles and plates and anchor setting plans to roof frames and wall sections, you'll find the tools in this package indispensable.

CUSTOMER CONFIGURATION PROGRAM

Create a configuration for detailing standards, colors and shop bill for each customer.

BOLT LIST

Create bolt lists and bolt summaries. Merge lists together, sort, edit and print. Each item is a multiple choice for quick and easy input.

Erection Tools

ANCHOR BOLT SIDE VIEW

This program will draw the side view of any of the six different anchor bolts. The insertion point is the underside of the washer and the bolt can be rotated to any angle. The length may be entered as the embed and projection separately as shown or uncheck the “Use Embed dims” box and enter the overall length as a single dimension.

BEAM LINES w/DESC

Draw a line with several options. You can put a solid filed triangle at the ends, include the camber with a custom prefix, include shear studs with a custom bracket character on each side of the number, include a member size, include an elevation.

BEAM ON PLATE w/AB

Detail the end view and web view of a beam sitting on a bearing plate with anchor bolts showing the projection, grout, bolt length, hook length, bolt diameter, hole pattern and plate size.

BEARING PLATE EDGE VIEW

Draw the sectional end view of a typical bearing plate used for joists or beams when bearing on a masonry wall.

BRACE LINES w/DESC

Draw a line to represent a brace and place the member size at the center of the line and an option to place a solid filed triangle moment symbol at the ends.

BLOCK WALL SECTION

Draw a cross section of a 4", 6", 8", 10” or 12" block wall.

BRICK w/BLOCK WALL SECTION

Draw a cross section of a 4", 6", 8", 10” or 12" block wall with brick on one side.

BRICK WALL SECTION

Draw the cross section of a brick wall.

BLOCK WALL PLAN VIEW

Draw the plan view of a 4", 6", 8", 10” or 12" block wall.

BRICK w/BLOCK WALL PLAN VIEW

Draw the plan view of a 4", 6", 8", 10” or 12" block wall with brick on one side.

BRICK WALL PLAN VIEW

Draw the plan view of a brick wall.

COL BASE PLATE w/AB

Detail the plan view and elevation view of a column base plate with anchor bolts showing the projection, grout, bolt length, hook length, bolt diameter, hole pattern, plate size and column size.

COLUMN w/BOLT PATTERN

Draw the end view of a column to scale and place a line at 45 degrees in the quadrant you select and place the member size on the top side of the line and up to two reference notes on the bottom side of the line. It will draw and dimension a bolt pattern with or without base plate.

DECK EDGE VIEW

Draw the edge view of floor and roof deck.

ELEVATION GENERATOR

Create elevation views for erection drawings and plan views of stairs. The information is entered into dialog boxes and saved to a file name and location of your choosing. You can create elevation views showing beams, braces, CMU walls, columns, end view of shape on column, girts, joist, ladders and stairs. The views can be drawn to various scales independent of the scale that your drawing is set up to.

GRID LINES w/DIM

Draw grid lines with column grid bubbles and optional dimensions between grid lines.

JOIST LINES

Draw joist lines inside a four-sided area.

JOIST SIDE or END VIEW

Draw the side or end view of open web joist and joist girders. Joist sizes are (H, J or K), (LH or DLH), Girder and Other.

LADDERS

Draw plan view of ladder with and without cage.

MARKS / SECT / TAGS

This will display an icon menu for the selection of piece mark, section marks, break lines, north arrow, column bubble, column, AISC symbol, revision symbols and UP and DOWN arrows.

MEMBER

Draw a double line representation of a member on an existing single line.

REVISION CLOUD

Draw a "cloud" around something

STAIR PLAN

Draw a partial plan with a “break” line at one end or a complete plan.

TEXT DESCRIPTION

Placing a text description parallel to a selected line on either side and centered at the point picked.

U-BLOCK SECTION VIEW

Draws a cross section of 6", 8", 10” and 12" block.

WOOD END VIEW

Draws the cross section of a wood board.

ADD STUDS

Draw a side view or top view of any size threaded or headed stud along a selected line, with or without dimensions.

ADHESIVE ANCHOR

Draw a side view of any size bolt.

ANCHOR BOLT

Detail three different types of anchor bolts.

BOLT CIRCLE

A symbol that is used to add the bolts and adhesives for a field bolted connection.

BOLT EXPANSION

Draw a detailed side view of any size bolt.

BOLLARD

Draw a pipe bollard, with or without anchors near the bottom.

BOLT w/N&W

Draw a detailed view of a variety of bolt types. You can draw a side view or end view of the head or nut, with or without washers. There is also a 3D option.

CLEVIS

Draw the side or edge view of a clevis.

CLIP

Draw a clip angle.

CONE

Drawing the top view, section view and layout of a right or oblique cone.

CRANE RAIL

Draw the end view of crane rails.

DOOR FRAME

Detail door frames made from tubes, channels or bent plate.

EMBED FRAME

Detail a single member or a frame consisting of two to eight sides. The sides may be angles or channels.

EMBED PLATE

Detail a plain plate or a plate with multiple rows and columns of holes or anchors on the far side with optional nailer holes in the corner and show the edge view of the plate.

EXTRACT BOLTS

Extract the field bolts from all selected drawings in a folder. The file will contain a list of bolts created with the Bolt Circle program from all selected drawings.

HOLE SIZE and SLOT SIZE

Label a hole or slot sizes.

LIBRARY MENUS

Library menu is an icon menu that will display your custom blocks using icons allowing you to insert your block from the library by selecting the icon of the block.

LEADER NOTES

Adding standard notes using a leader line.

LINTEL (loose)

Draws a lintel with a main shipping mark.

LINTEL (shop attached)

Draw a lintel and/or masonry anchors on an existing beam detail.

LIST FIELD BOLTS in SHOP BILL

This command will total, summarize and list the summary of field bolts in the shop bill giving a total of each different bolt, nut and washer listed in the current drawing.

NAILER ANGLE / Channel

Detail an angle that is to be shipped loose with holes or slots in one leg.

NAILER HOLES

Automatically draw an anchor or hole on a selected line and optionally dimension the spacing and put tail dimensions to each anchor or hole.

NAILER PLATE

Detail a plate that is to be shipped loose with one or two lines of holes or slots.

PIPE

Convert a single polyline to a double line representation of a pipe with the option of drawing the inside wall.

POUR STOP (Shop Attached)

Draw a pour stop on top of a beam and/or a section view using a bent plate or angle.

POUR STOP (Loose)

Draw a pour stop as a main member. The pour stop can be a bent plate or angle.

ROLLED ANGLE

Detail an angle rolled to a radius.

ROOF FRAMES

There are eleven different types of frames available. All frames can be drawn using angles or channels.

SCALE SHAPE

Draw top, web or side view of shapes to exact scale. The shapes available are "C", "HP", "M", "MC" "S", "W", “L”, “PS”, “TS” and “CF”.

SCHEDULE MAKER

Creating, drawing and adding text to a schedule.

TURNBUCKLE

Draw the side view of a turnbuckle.

WELD SYMBOLS

Create and place weld symbols.
